A transition project of weekly drama sessions for Notre Dame RC Girls’ School and a local primary, culminating in a performance at both schools for parents and other classes. We have edited the text of ‘Macbeth’ by William Shakespeare and will be casting the play across two schools using students from KS2 and KS3. ‘Macbeth’ is a vibrant play which looks at the tragic fall of our hero ‘Macbeth’ who allows ambition and power to destroy his fine character. ‘Macbeth’ takes the throne by force from Duncan, a wise and fair leader. We bear witness as Macbeth, a once courageous and honourable hero, becomes a feared tyrant causing destruction and terror across his land. This is an exciting action story; timeless in its exploration of temptation and the battle within us all between goodness and evil.
