Speak Up

Speak Up is a creative writing project for ten Key Stage 3 students at one Southwark secondary school. Participants will attend a series of four after-school sessions (lasting 1.5 hours) in order to develop poetry and spoken word pieces based on the theme of global prejudice and injustice. Through the process they will also be introduced to contemporary poets and spoken word artists. The project will culminate in a sharing event where participants will perform their own work. Their writing will also be collated into a professionally designed and printed booklet.
