The Snow Queen
Project: The Snow Queen
Company: Unicorn Theatre
Teachers and children will have an opportunity to work with the Unicorn Theatre around this year’s Christmas production, The Snow Queen. This magical re-telling of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale will transport your pupils across the colourful lands of India, from the rugged hills of the Chambals and busy Bombay streets to the glitzy world of Bollywood and beyond. Teachers will work with Unicorn’s Learning and Participation team to extend and deepen pupils’ responses to the play. CPD for teachers will explore the use of drama in the classroom and the resource pack will open up a range of cross curricula activities for follow up work. Our experienced team will run a 1.5 hour drama workshop in schools before the visit to the theatre. Schools will come to see the production at the Unicorn between December and January, participating teachers must be available for CPD at the Unicorn on Friday 18 November, 10am-4pm.
