Small Lives, Global Ties

Project: Small Lives, Global Ties

Company: Tamasha

Tamasha performs rehearsed short-play readings written by London’s most exciting new playwrights following a pioneering new scheme with Mulberry School for Girls. These playful works are a creative response to workshops and conversations at the school. Post-show discussion with the director and actors will explore themes from the pieces around Small Lives, Global Ties, young people and new technologies.

The company will need to make use of a projector during the reading.

The plays were first performed in June 2011 at Soho Theatre, London.

“It was refreshing to see such candid and ‘real’ writing for young people, with such a local and ‘personal’ focus…and this stands out as one of the best events I’ve attended.”

“I cannot express how refreshing the quality of the rehearsed reading’s content was.” Graeae Theatre Company
