Weekly Workshops – Creative Transition and Philosophy for Transition

Description    I’m a Shipwrecked Year 6…get me out of here!
Shipwrecked on an island - Year 6 must work together to survive by employing their teamwork, communication and creative skills; the skills that will be indispensible to their success at secondary school. 

MakeBelieve Arts workshop leaders can work with up to 90 Year 6 pupils on one or two days of adventure and discovery.

Weekly Workshops

Creative Transition
Delve deeper into the thoughts and feelings of your pupils as they make the transition from primary to secondary school
You can choose up to 5 weekly workshops that explore any or all of the following themes:  This is me / Celebrating primary / Saying Goodbye / Hopes and Fears / Step to the Future

Philosophy for Transition
Forming questions, responding to ideas and thinking about the future
This programme enables pupils to ask philosophical questions, respond to stimuli and take part in philosophical dialogue.  They will explore their thoughts and feelings on their transition while developing their speaking and listening skills.
 

 MakeBelieve Arts is experienced in delivering Transition workshops for students making the move from primary to secondary school. We know that support at this time is crucial. Secondary school can seem like a whole new world – a new culture, new rules, and new challenges.
