Look To The Sky

Project: Look to the Sky

Company: Half Moon

In an abandoned warehouse, a search along dark corridors and winding stairs will lead to a discovery, which will change lives...

A group of young people are forced to confront the very thing that scares them most. Themselves. The mysterious and complicated culture of inner-city youth is exploded in this gripping new play, which breathes with a raw poetic street language and a contemporary soundtrack.

A free CD programme containing some of the music soundtrack to the show is distributed to all audience members. Curriculum linked education resources are available to download here.

Each show concludes with a 'text-back': an opportunity for the audience to ask questions of the company via their mobile phones.

The performance on 8 November will be followed by an ‘In Conversation’ with the writer Courttia Newland. The session will explore the representation of young people in contemporary arts/theatre and unpacking the myth around urban delinquency, criminalisation of young people and self definition.
