Southwark educational institutions and youth and community groups
The STEP partnership is open to all educational institutions based in Southwark, from early years centres and nurseries to Further and Higher Education institutions. STEP offers free projects for your learners which range from engaging young people in classroom, curriculum-focused activities to exploring innovative performance genres, trips to see local performances and opportunities to engage in enriching extra-curricular activities including youth theatre and skills-focused workshops. We can also create bespoke projects in partnership with our theatre and performing arts partners which can meet your learners' particular needs.

Volunteers
STEP currently works with professional volunteers from a range of sectors including legal firms, design agencies and media companies. STEP has a number of volunteering opportunities available for people looking to give their time to a local charity. This can be on the basis of a one-off project or an ongoing commitment.
STEP professional volunteer, Fionnuala Lynch from Reed Smith:
Volunteering for STEP takes me away from the narrow confines of my role as a Tax lawyer in a City firm and gives me a unique insight into the invaluable work carried out by STEP to use theatre in education to help Southwark's young people. As Southwark is one of the most deprived boroughs in the country, it is so rewarding to be able to contribute in my own small way to such a worthwhile initiative and experience first-hand the benefits it brings to Southwark's young people. I would highly recommend all professional volunteers to get involved.
