Boxed Romeo and Juliet

Project: Boxed Romeo and Juliet

Company: Box Clever

This two hour session offers KS4 students the opportunity to attend a rehearsed reading of Box Clever’s adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, with professional actors, the director and writer of Box Clever Theatre Company. The Reading is followed by a facilitated discussion with the audience about adapting Shakespeare and how a professional theatre company translates the written text into performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for both students of Drama and English to work with Box Clever, a Company with a prolific record of touring Shakespeare to young people across the UK and Internationally. The Reading will be of a brand new version of Romeo and Juliet, as adapted by Box Clever’s Artistic Director and Writer in Residence, Michael Wicherek.
